They all came to win.
Photo 1: Dudi Sela of Israel, left, winner of the US$14,400 men's top prize, and
Paul Baccanello of Australia, the runner up.
Photo 2: Czech Republic's Tomas Cakl was eliminated by American Cecil Mamit, 4-6,
6-2, 6-1, in the first round.
Photo 3: Graeme Kassautzki of Vancouver, middle, the winner of Stanley Park Open,
was the only local player who did manage to win a round in the qualifying draw.
Photo 4: Raphael Durek of Australia reached the second round before bowing out to
the eventual champion, Sela, 6-1, 6-3.
Photo 5: Fourteen-year-old Sharon Fichman, the youngest Fed Cup member of Tennis
Canada, lost in the first round but showed considerable talent.
Photo 6: Nicolas Todero of Argentina beat Rayen Newport of USA in the second
round, 7-5, 3-6, 7-5. Newport had ousted second seed American Michael Gambill earlier.
Todero was eliminated by Eric Taino in the quarter-finals.
